All-on-X fixed or an overdenture: how do I frame the choice?
Fixed arches maximize stability and the feeling of natural teeth; removable overdentures win on hygiene access, serviceability, and budget. Dexterity, tissue situation, and maintenance discipline usually decide. Patients bring several names for either variant; the distinction that matters is fixed versus removable, not the label. Both come from the same implant department here, so the recommendation you give the patient never depends on what the lab happens to sell.
Four or six implants per arch: does the lab have a preference?
